KAMELOT – The Awakening (2023)

Released on March 17, 2023 The Awakening is the thirteenth studio album by the American power metal band Kamelot.

Kamelot is a metal band that was formed in Tampa, Florida in 1991. Over the years, they have become known for their blend of symphonic, progressive, and power metal, as well as their use of storytelling and mythology in their lyrics.

The band has released numerous albums, including “Eternity,” “The Fourth Legacy,” “Karma,” “The Black Halo,” “Ghost Opera,” “Poetry for the Poisoned,” “Haven,” and “The Shadow Theory.” Kamelot has also toured extensively and has played at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air, ProgPower USA, and Bloodstock Open Air.

Some of Kamelot’s most well-known songs include “Forever,” “Center of the Universe,” “The Haunting (Somewhere in Time),” “Ghost Opera,” and “Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife).” The band has undergone several lineup changes over the years, but their current members include Tommy Karevik (vocals), Thomas Youngblood (guitar), Oliver Palotai (keyboards), Sean Tibbetts (bass), and Alex Landenburg (drums).
